Dr Joel Kelso   BSc(Hons) PhD Murdoch  Research Fellow

Joel has worked as a computer science and software engineering tutor, and as a professional software developer. In 2002, he completed his PhD (through Murdoch University) and joined the Department of Computer Science & Software Engineering at the University of Western Australia. He is currently part of a research group that is developing techniques for modelling and simulating the spread of bushfires and epidemics. His research interests include computer simulation techniques, functional languages, visual programming and artificial life.
