Dr Lyndon While   BSc(Eng)(Hons), ACGI, PhD, DIC Lond., SMIEE  Senior Lecturer Lyndon graduated from Imperial College, London in 1985 with a BSc(Eng) in Computing and the IBM Prize for his work on the implementation of declarative languages. In 1988 he was awarded a PhD and DIC for his study of the behaviour of term-rewriting systems. In 1989 he joined INMOS Ltd. in the UK, working on the processor and memory architecture of the transputer, and in 1992 he joined the School of Computer Science & Software Engineering at UWA. Lyndon's recent research has been in the theory and applications of evolutionary algorithms, the design of parallel algorithms, and the implementation of declarative programming languages.
